NDWC Shared Read Book Discussion - Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok  7:00 PM

Thursday October 27th at 7pm

Book Discussion at The Library at The Public Theater

Come discuss NDWC's Fall 2016 Shared Read Book Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok (2011) with other ND Women. We'll be meeting on October 27th at The Library at The Public Theater. Women in the Notre Dame Family across the globe are reading this work at the same time, and we're looking forward to another opportunity for a lively and engaging discussion.

Written in an indelible voice that dramatizes the tensions of an immigrant girl growing up between two cultures, surrounded by a language and world only half understood, Girl in Translation is an unforgettable and classic novel of an American immigrant-a moving tale of hardship and triumph, heartbreak and love, and all that gets lost in translation.

Keynote & Photos from "We Are ND: A Celebration of 40 Years of Coeducation"

Thanks so much to all the fantastic ND & SMC women and their family and friends from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and beyond who attended the chapter's reception on July 16, 2013, at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan.
