job search.

contact for other alumni in their search to locate
or transition to new jobs.

Networking - UND alumni are a powerful networking resource. Many do not understand the complexity and rules of networking. We highly suggest reviewing the materials on this website.
Resume and interviewing advice and tips, including sample cover letters.
Resources - website addresses and other search tools to assist you with locating employers. CareerSearch and Vault accounts are two examples.
Irishonline - https://irishonline.nd.edu is a database of UND Alumni which may be used to network. It also contains a growing database of job openings posted by alumni in the Career Networking module. While there, volunteer to assist students with career questions and guidance.
GoIRISH - https://goirish.erecruiting.com/er/security/login.jsp is a database with over 2400 employers listed as well as UND contacts for these companies.
Weekly UND Career Center Alumni Newsletter: The University distributes job openings and articles on job search strategies to active job hunters on a weekly basis. Please fill out the Information Sheet [https://careercenter.nd.edu/alumnirequests.php] online to be added to the distribution list.

Other Resources & Suggestions
Industry associations: discuss job opportunities in your field with those working in your field. Join an industry association in your field, attend local meetings, and meet important contacts within target firms.
Networking groups: provide advice, support, and networking opportunities for the job hunter. Many parishes and other community groups have networking groups that meet on a regular basis to assist job hunters.
Job search buddy: connect with other job hunters and support each other throughout your searches. Discuss the difficulties of the job search, and share valuable leads and insights.
Most of all, thank those who help you along the way and be ready to help others in their job searches!
