March 2: Meet Center for Social Concern's "Children and Poverty" Participants
Fourteen Notre Dame Students (members of the Center for Social Concern's "Children and Poverty" spring break seminar) will be visiting NYC from March, 1 to March, 8. Their visit starts with 11:30am Mass on March, 2 at Our Lady of Refuge Church in Brooklyn (2020 Foster Ave in Brooklyn, NY -- near the Newkirk Station of the Q train).
The Club will provide the students with breakfast in the rectory after Mass. Club members are invited to attend mass, meet our guests, and join us for breakfast. Please reply to this email if you plan to attend; call Joe Vittaco's cell (718.551.8093) if you have trouble finding the church. Look for Joe after Mass, I will be wearing a Notre Dame sweatshirt.

March 4: Spring Networking Event
On Tuesday, March 4, The Notre Dame Club of New York will be running its first networking event of 2008 in a new venue -- New York City's Public House (140 East 41st Street b/w Lexington & 3rd Avenue from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.). In the three years since the Club began quarterly Networking Events, they have proven to be both fun and highly effective ways of meeting new alumni contacts. The events include companies with open positions seeking top talent. Most of the openings come from Notre Dame alumni, who are excited to meet fellow alumni looking for career opportunities. The events are casual -- think Happy Hour with free food and a cash bar
To prepare for this event send Joe Vitacco () a description (100 words or less please) of open positions at your company that you'd like distributed to the network. Please include your contact information for responses. You can also send resumes (in Word format). Job openings and resumes will be bound together in a handout distributed during the event. The deadline for submission is February 29th.
