NDNY Needs Your Assistance!

New Venue/Format for UND

For 2009, we want to price UND at a more accessible level and so we want to begin now to consider a new format and venue. The ideal approach would be to have the event in corporate space, which might enable us to find a distributor or winery to sponsor alcohol. Overall, costs would be lower and we would not be subject to contractual minimums for food and beverages. Any and all suggestions on venue/format/sponsors are welcome.
 
Volunteer to Help Draft the Weekly Email

We would like to get the "weekly" email on a more regular distribution and could use some help in that effort. The role would involve being a point person for requests to include content in the weekly email and proposing content for the weekly email based on discussions at monthly meetings or other email exchanges.

Hesburgh Lecture

We are seeking a volunteer to coordinate a Hesburgh Lecture for sometime in the fall. We have a booklet of possible speakers. The volunteer would be the point person on selecting a speaker and a site, preferably partnering with a college or community organization that could provide space at no cost to us and also increase the overall attendance.
